Earning My Craftsman of Photographic Arts

There are certain milestones in a photographer’s career that feel especially meaningful — not just because of the title itself, but because of everything it represents. Earning my Craftsman of Photographic Arts has been one of those milestones.

This achievement means so much to me because it reflects years of learning, growth, dedication, and a deep commitment to the craft of photography. While awards often recognize a finished image, the Craftsman designation represents something broader: the investment made in education, presentation, service, and the ongoing pursuit of excellence within the photographic profession.

Photography has always been about more than creating beautiful images. It’s about connection, storytelling, preserving meaningful moments, and constantly refining both artistic and technical skills. Along the way, I’ve had the opportunity to learn from talented professionals, be inspired by fellow artists, and continue growing through every client experience and educational opportunity.

Receiving this designation from the Professional Photographers of Canada is both an honour and a reminder that growth never really stops. It encourages me to keep learning, keep creating, and keep striving to serve my clients and my industry at the highest level.

I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported me throughout this journey — mentors, peers, clients, friends, and family. Your encouragement has helped shape not only my work, but also the person and professional I continue to become.

Earning my Craftsman of Photographic Arts is a proud moment, and I’m excited for what comes next. I look forward to continuing this journey with fresh inspiration, renewed purpose, and gratitude for the path that brought me here.

Thank you for being part of it.
